i am the mastermind (underline mastermind) is a 2017 AU fanfiction series featuring Danganronpa characters.
It is a series of one-shots written as a mastermind AU, featuring a despair Makoto Naegi and a despair Emi Sato.
The series takes place in an alternate version of the Hope's Peak Academy Saga and features major character death, implied/referenced suicide, canonical character death, minor necrophilia, femslash (relationship between Emi and Junko, and an implied one-sided relationship between Mikan and Junko), implied/referenced cheating, implied/referenced bullying, implied/referenced abuse, and implied/referenced brainwashing.
The final story, which takes place during Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Future Arc, is unpublished as of yet and has an unknown release date.
